The head of the State Border Guard Service visited border guards in Bakhmut and Lyman directions.

During the work, the head of the Border Guard Service familiarized himself with the situation regarding the actions of border units within the composition of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, their interaction with units of the Armed Forces and National Guard, and checked their provision with all necessary means to carry out tasks and repel armed aggression of the occupiers.

Unit leaders mentioned that the situation on the battlefield remains challenging, primarily due to constant shelling by the enemy. At the same time, border guards at their positions do everything possible to bring our Victory closer by destroying the enemy's manpower and equipment. They provided detailed information about measures to strengthen positions and demonstrated cooperation with other Ukrainian defenders, contributing to effective task fulfillment.

Serhii Deineko also familiarized himself with the measures being taken to enhance the readiness of the agency's units. In particular, border guards improved their skills in aerial reconnaissance and the use of various types of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and practiced accurate shooting with mortars, machine grenade launchers, and small arms. In addition, servicemembers practiced tactical medicine to develop skills in providing timely assistance on the battlefield.

Servicemembers who are defending Ukraine on the front lines of the Russian-Ukrainian war received state awards and departmental honors from the head of the agency.

The Head of the State Border Guard Service conveyed words of gratitude from the President of Ukraine and the Minister of Internal Affairs to the soldiers and thanked the border guards for all the work they perform in defense of the country, for their resilience and bravery.

"Border guards remain a strong component of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. We will restore the territorial integrity of Ukraine, and reach our internationally recognized borders, and only after driving the enemy out of our land, we will return to our usual work of protecting and defending the state border. However, we understand that this task is not easy, so I ask all of you to approach it with understanding, to improve your skills in defeating the enemy even more powerfully. We have one thing that matters - love for our country, we have the will for freedom and independence," emphasized Serhii Deineko during the meeting with the border guards.
